Eco Founder was started to help engineers and scientists learn to speak the language of business. The idea wasn’t born overnight. It began several years ago, when I was completing my studies. Two subject areas at university fascinated me; renewable energy and business.
I begun an engineering degree but then changed my major to suit my inclinations. Studying energy studies and entrepreneurship I spent the majority of my time between the science and commerce schools and was interested in the lack of communication between them.
Why don’t they work together?
The scientists had a huge amount of knowledge of the new technology and changes in policy but seemed to misunderstand the process of commercialisation. I wanted to create a place where both startup and business knowledge could aid engineers and scientists with with turning technology into value driven innovations that could make a large impact on society.
If only more these technologies were easily accessible then sustainability and energy efficiency would be much more achievable for everyone.
So my goal for Eco Founder is to create a place where this sharing of knowledge can exist. You don’t need to know everything about business to get started. Just enough to get you to the next stage.
Eco Founder will serve as your personal business mentor to help you navigate the business world.
